We’re in this weird era where the internet is now middle-aged, but there is a new frontier. Some call it AI but no one really knows from a consumer standpoint. AI is being implemented into social media platforms, but I don’t think we really know the extent. Like, who knew YouTube would go from funny videos to building careers for some of the biggest influencers, streamers, TV producers, and the list goes on. Some of those career paths were forged because of the existence of social media. But social media these days is just loud, busy, overstimulating and is just opening people’s eyes to the chaos that is. Millennials are trying to find that pre-internet peace from childhood that is now lost to doomscrolling. I don’t know; I don’t have any answers, just my little piece of digital real estate I don’t use as much as I should. Who knows if blogs still reach people anymore? It kind of reminds me of the Clancy in The Midnight Gospel just sending out webcasts. Who knows where the internet will take us next? I’m anxious and excited, anxcited!
