Reginald, the founder of HSTL App wanted to advertise the launch of his new app and increase downloads. Together we worked on a content package that included brand photos and copy promoting his 'why'. He also wanted to give his audience an inside look at how the app works. I added an instructional video that includes copy, voiceover script, and voiceover talent to add to all social media platforms.
PlayMakers Laboratory, formerly Barrel of Monkeys went through a rebranding and name change process in 2019. The old name was culturally insensitive to the neighborhoods served thus prompting a complete rebrand. They wanted to elevate the mission with a new name and keep the same playful color scheme.
Campaign & Social Media Management
As the Communications Coordinator at PlayMakers Laboratory, campaign and social media strategies were an integral part of my role. I crafted strategies for Giving Tuesday, Year-End Giving, and an emergency fundraiser that garner $60,000 to help save the organizaton.
PlayMakers Laboratory created an initiative to raise $60,000 to keep creative arts programs in elementary schools. After news of potential closure, the organization had to act fast. We crafted a press release, fundraising campaign, email copy, and media tool kit for teaching artists and alumni. After reaching $40,000 through individual networks we enhanced our social media with a raffle. Through these initiatives, we were able to surpass our goal and continue programs throughout Chicago.
User Generated Content
Creating user-generated content through my personal brand has allowed me to better understand and incorporate new forms of digital media for clients. Implementing my love of food, travel, and entertainment I produce immersive video content through Instagram Reels. This form of media allows me to share and highlight restaurants, venues, cities, and events organically with a broad reach.
Through analysis of key metrics, I am able to identify trends and viewer demographics. This helps to polish content for a target audience.
Merging my skills in creative comedy writing, on-camera acting, and video editing to produce and share my love of Food History. Food & History is a Youtube series I produced sharing the stories behind the world's most popular dishes and beverages. By creating this series, I have polished my proficiency in content pillars, title optimization, scriptwriting, video equipment, video setup, lighting, editing workflow, and seo trends.
